Plaster of Paris Bandage
Plaster of Paris Bandage applied in layers around an injured limb to construct a stiff cast for immobilizing fractured bones, dislocated joints, or painful sprains. Made from bleached cotton gauze support uniformly impregnated with plaster of natural origin. Upon immersion in lukewarm water (approx. 25°C) for about 5 seconds, the plaster hydrates and sets within 2–5 minutes. Non-sterile, for single use. Can be used with or without stockinette/padding. The final cast is rigid, breathable, and moldable to body contours. Also suitable for making impression molds for orthotics/prosthetics and for decorative/art projects.

Time of Use
- Preparation: Use stockinette and padding/cast padding over the limb before application.
- Soaking: Dip the roll diagonally into lukewarm water (approx. 25°C) for ~5 seconds until bubbling stops.
- Squeezing: Gently squeeze excess water from the roll without wringing.
- Application: Apply the wet bandage in overlapping layers spirally around the limb with even pressure. Do not wrap too tightly.
- Molding: Continuously mold the cast by hand during application to ensure even adhesion and remove air bubbles. Stop molding once setting begins.
- Setting: Allow 2–5 minutes for initial set. Cast becomes weight‑bearing in about 24–48 hours.
- Drying: Keep cast dry and avoid load until fully hardened.
- For single patient use only. Replace with a fresh bandage for new applications. Store unused rolls in sealed, dry conditions.
